ABOUT THE EVENT - Glenn Gutnayer Custom Homes (formerly Glenn Gutnayer Construction) was honored to be the builder of the Home of Distinction in Highland Park, Illinois. Sponsored by a major real estate brokerage and national construction product suppliers, the Home of Distinction was the site of a fundraiser for Habitat for the Humanities. With all entrance fees donated to Habitat for the Humanities, over 4,000 people toured this magnificent home. Built as a home for sale, the 6,700 square foot residence was purchased from Glenn Gutnayer Construction shortly after the tour.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY The design of this unique residence is inspired by Harry T. Lindberg , master architect of numerous great American estates, including the Owentsia Club and the J.O. Armour Estate in Lake Forest, Illinois. The property, built with bricks manufactured in the 1940s, abounds with character and yet blends seamlessly with the historic homes of the neighborhood. French Normand in style, the crescent shape of the home welcomes you as you drive up the u-shaped driveway lined with old oak trees. The sloping state roofs, copper copula imbue the home with a romantic feel. Old-world antique lighting and hanging trough-style copper gutters accentuate the great appeal of this wonderful home.
